system score
About this tag
The system score tag on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about the Windows Experience Index (WEI), a built-in tool in Windows 7 and Vista that rates hardware components on a scale from 1.0 to 7.9. Users often ask why their base score dropped due to a low subscore, such as a primary hard disk rated 1.9 or a RAID array scoring only 3, despite other components scoring higher. The tag also includes references to game development for Windows Store, where system score may relate to performance considerations. Common themes include troubleshooting low scores, understanding how the base score is determined by the lowest subscore, and comparing scores between Windows versions.

I was running the Windows Experience Index Assessment under Windows 7 and can't quite understand how my "Primary hard disc" got a 1.9 rating (was 5.7 under Vista). Everthing else was 5.9 and above. Anyone any thoughts on this??????????
