tap to click

About this tag
The tap to click feature on touchpads allows users to perform mouse clicks by tapping the touchpad surface instead of pressing physical buttons. On WindowsForum.com, users frequently seek help disabling tap to click or tapping on various touchpad models, including generic touchpads, Cypress touchpads on Dell XPS 15, and Elantech touchpads. Common issues include driver conflicts after Windows updates, missing driver support for newer Windows versions, and problems with third-party driver software like KTPWare. Troubleshooting often involves finding compatible drivers, adjusting touchpad settings in the mouse control panel, or restoring touchpad functionality after driver issues.
