taskbar improvements

The taskbar improvements tag covers recent Windows 11 preview changes aimed at making everyday use more practical. Current coverage focuses on taskbar network speed testing, better handling of taskbar overflow, and faster resume from sleep in Release Preview builds for Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2. These updates are presented alongside broader usability concerns, including long-running complaints about Start menu and taskbar regressions, forced cloud connections, and Copilot expansion. This page brings together coverage of how Microsoft is refining the taskbar and related responsiveness, with an emphasis on small changes that can reduce delays and improve routine desktop workflows.
