tcp optimizer
About this tag
Discussions on WindowsForum.com about TCP Optimizer focus on using the free tool from SpeedGuide.net to tweak TCP/IP settings for improved internet performance. Users share experiences adjusting parameters like RWIN, MTU, and congestion control to address slow speeds, high latency, or connection drops after ISP upgrades or OS changes. Common scenarios include optimizing for gaming, video streaming, and general browsing on Windows 7, 8, and 10. Some threads also report system instability, such as sound loops or login crashes, potentially linked to aggressive TCP Optimizer settings combined with Windows updates. The tool is frequently recommended as a first step for troubleshooting network issues, though results vary by hardware and configuration.

In XP I can download with 1000 kb/s (~10000 kbit/s)
In 7 I download with only 100-200kb/s. WTF??
I disabled QoS, IPV6, Used the SpeedGuide.net TCPOptimizer... nothing. Still slow...
