Discussions on WindowsForum.com cover Texas Instruments hardware in both development and consumer contexts. One thread reports a BSOD when plugging a TI C5515 USB Stick DSP Development Kit into a Windows 7 x64 laptop, highlighting driver or compatibility issues with TI development tools. Several threads from 2011-2012 focus on TI's OMAP platform, particularly the OMAP4470 processor, and its role in powering Windows 8 tablets. Rumors at the time suggested Microsoft considered partnering with Texas Instruments and Taiwanese OEMs to build a Microsoft-branded Windows 8 tablet, though no such device materialized. These threads reflect TI's involvement in Windows ecosystem hardware, from embedded development kits to potential tablet designs.
