About this tag
TFT, or Thin Film Transistor, is a type of LCD monitor technology commonly discussed on WindowsForum.com in the context of display resolution, gaming, and multi-monitor setups. Users have asked about supporting high resolutions like 2560x1600 with integrated graphics, troubleshooting tabbing back into full-screen games such as Diablo 2 and Warcraft III TFT, and resolving blue screen errors when using an external TFT monitor with a laptop. Other topics include locked resolution settings after installing Windows 7 and installation issues with legacy games. These threads focus on hardware compatibility, driver updates, and Windows configuration for TFT displays.
I am thinking about buying a high resolution TFT monitor with either
2560x1440
or even
2560x1600
pixels. Does my core i5 CPU with H67 chipset support these high resolutions or doe I have to buy an extra video card?
Does Win 7 support out-of-the box such resolutions?
