About this tag
The time change tag on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about daylight saving time (DST) adjustments and system time permissions in Windows. Topics include how Windows handles DST changes for specific countries like Mexico, Mongolia, and Iran, as well as potential system unresponsiveness when the RealTimeIsUniversal registry entry is set during DST transitions. Additionally, there are threads about user permissions for changing the system time, particularly in Windows 7, with references to workarounds from earlier versions like Windows XP. These discussions are relevant for IT administrators and users managing time settings on Windows systems.
Microsoft is aware of a potential system unresponsiveness issue using the RealTimeIsUniversal registry entry on Daylight Saving Time (DST) change over.
