Windows 10 Why does disabling HDD timeout allegedly solve high CPU usage on "NT Kernel & System"?
I never had the high Kernel & System CPU usage, but I saw this issue on a friend's computer. The process with PID 4 had a high CPU usage. But that issue solved itself. However, how is disabling HDD timeout (spin down after ** minutes) meant to solve the CPU usage issue? How is it related?- WinFreak

I have set the display to turn off after 5 minutes if there's no activity on my computer, but when I come back to use my computer after a while I noticed that the start menu and action center doesn't open when I click on them. Any ideas why?- donb2012

Windows 7 Computer won't sleep, unless I am downloading.
W7HP edition. Sometimes my computer will go to sleep, but most of the time it won't. The only time it will guarantee to go to sleep, is if I am downloading a large file. If I am downloading, 100% of the time, it will go to sleep. Is there a setting somewhere, that will tell the computer to not...- ddharper

Windows 7 Display turning off after 5 minutes
I'm using Windows 7 x64. No matter what I set the power settings to, the display turns off after 5 minutes, and moving the mouse turns it on. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? HBH- Helmar
