tiworker

About this tag
TiWorker.exe, also known as the Windows Modules Installer Worker, is a system process that handles the installation and modification of Windows updates and optional components. On WindowsForum.com, users frequently report that TiWorker.exe causes high CPU and RAM usage, often during update installations that appear stuck or slow. For example, one user on Windows Server 2016 found TiWorker.exe using 12-15% CPU and 180MB RAM while a security update (KB4025339) stalled at 5% progress. Another Windows 10 user noticed TiWorker.exe constantly draining system resources, suspecting it is tied to ongoing update searches. These discussions focus on troubleshooting TiWorker.exe resource consumption and resolving stuck Windows updates.
