    Windows 7 My Places Bar

I hate to ask a dumb question, but is there a My Place Bar, or can there be one, in Office 2010--specifically, Word 2010? I don't see it now, so how do I get to it? There's no "Tools" option in my Files-Open dialogue boxes. I used to love this feature in Office XP. I'm now using Windows 7. Thanks.
