About this tag
The tag 'touch cables' on WindowsForum.com covers troubleshooting scenarios where physically adjusting or reseating SATA cables inside a computer resolves boot issues, freezes, or detection problems. In one thread, a user reports that touching the SATA cables improved intermittent freezing and a black screen before Windows loaded, suggesting loose connections as a possible cause. The discussion also touches on related symptoms like overclocking failure messages and hard drive detection issues. This tag is relevant for users experiencing similar hardware-related instability, particularly with SATA drives, and looking for practical cable-checking steps as part of their diagnostic process.
