About this tag
The Trimble tag on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about Trimble data transfer software and its compatibility with Windows systems. One thread describes challenges connecting a Nikon total station DTM-720 to a modern Windows PC via serial-to-USB adapter, where Trimble software failed to receive data. Another thread mentions Trimble in the context of Microsoft's mixed reality updates, though the connection is minimal. The tag primarily relates to hardware interfacing issues, legacy device support, and data transfer software for surveying equipment. Users seek solutions for serial port communication, USB drivers, and PCMCI card readers to make older Trimble-compatible devices work with current Windows versions.
