About this tag
The ucs-2 tag on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about UCS-2 encoding, particularly in the context of password compatibility issues on Windows 7. One thread highlights problems with UCS-2 characters in passwords generated by a tool, which are not handled correctly by Internet Explorer 8 and Firefox 3.6 on Windows 7. This suggests that UCS-2 passwords may cause login failures in older browsers, potentially due to Windows 7 limitations. The tag is relevant for users dealing with Unicode password encoding, browser compatibility, and Windows 7 system behavior.
