We just had a heatwave in the UK and whilst I didnt need to use one of the HDD on my computer as it was running off a SSD, I was annoyed to feel it chucking off heat, is it possible to turn off a HDD electronically rather than prat about unplugging it? I realise unplugging it is minimal...
i have unplugged my computer, instead of logging off. can this cause any system file damage and the blue screen?
when i used SFC/SCANNOW, my system seems fixed now.
so could the unpluggging have been the cause of the BSOD?
My mom has an HP with Vista, and some external speakers that I dont know what they are. Everything was working fine -- speakers and all, untill now. I was there on Sunday and had to unplug her computer to move in a new desk and hook it up, so I unplugged everything. I plugged everything back...
