About this tag
The unshare folder tag covers discussions about removing network shares from local folders in Windows. Users often encounter issues where disabling the 'Share this folder' checkbox in Advanced Sharing does not fully remove the share status. Common solutions include using command-line tools like net share to delete the share, reassigning permissions, or checking for lingering share entries in Computer Management. The tag focuses on troubleshooting incomplete unsharing and ensuring folders are no longer accessible over the network.
