usb tethering
About this tag
USB tethering lets you share your smartphone's mobile data connection with a Windows PC over a USB cable, providing a stable and low-latency internet link when Wi-Fi is unavailable or unreliable. On Windows 10 and 11, enabling USB tethering on your phone typically makes the PC recognize a new wired network adapter and gain internet access within moments. You can then share that connection further by turning your PC into a Wi-Fi hotspot. Common issues include unidentified network errors and driver installation problems, such as with third-party tethering apps like PdaNet. Troubleshooting steps often involve checking network adapter settings, updating drivers, or releasing and renewing the IP configuration.
