I have read most of this thread & really, tried to keep tabs on it as it continues to have additions. W/out bothering w/ whether an original Key is lost or replaced, whether an original Recovery partition is lost or replaced when a production OS is overwritten by a beta OS, I'm going to suggest...

I am running Windows 10 on a 2 processor, 4GB RAM, VM
Host is i7 w/ 8GB RAM.
Boot after entering P/W is basically instant.
General operation speed is mostly a matter of can I click fast enough to keep pace w/ it, as in WHOOOOSH!
Anyway, here's the...
Hello,
I am facing BSODs/freezes while attempting to install a Windows 8.1 on a virtual machine. The Hyper-V host is running Windows Server 2012. I posted in the Windows 8 forum since there is a specialised BSOD area and the architecture is more or less the same.
When I investigated the error...
Bumped my Windows 10 x64 VM up from 1 processor & 2Gb RAM to 2 processors & 4Gb RAM. WOW, what a difference!! Immediately a very, noticeable, performance improvement.
Cheers,

Hi
Just a really quick question about running a OS in VMware Player (I said VB in the title and I can't change it now).
I installed Ubuntu into VMware Player and it runs really slow.
Everything works even the sound but video stutters etc, I'm assuming that's because my computer is really...

Hi
I'm still interested in running Ubuntu in a Virtual Machine.
What free VM software do people use.
I'd pay for VMware Player if I was sure it would work but after my experience with Virtual Machine I'd like to actually try it out before I buy it.

I've been running into this error when running a VM on my second monitor (with laptop in docking station) and also today when running a VNC connection to another PC in the office.
Hoping someone can help solve this. Reinstalling isn't a viable option right now as it's a company PC, we don't...
Hi Guys
First Ill explain what I did
I am running Ubuntu with a virtual Windows Server 2008. The virtual machine has the word test mode at each section of the screen, not really sure how it got there but I intended on removing it.
I performed some research on this matter and used bcdedit as...
I've been reading some informative threads on Virtual PC etc, but still have not come to the conclusion as to which VM is best for my purposes. I have zero experience running a VM. My AMD64 bit APU is qualified. I installed Virtual PC and it appears that I must re-install from system DVD. Can...

I run Windows 8.1 as a Parallels virtual machine. Earlier this week - after an IMac hard drive crash - I had to re-install Windows. I have both Windows XP pro and a Windows 8 upgrade disk. My question is this. If I have to do this again, is there a workaround that will enable me to install...

I'm running W8 and have created a virtual W7 using hyper-v. I very rarely connect the real computer to the Internet. If I always turn off the virtual W7 before I connect the computer to the Internet, do I need security software for the virtual W7?
Thanks in advance and thanks to the moderator.
I have Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit with only 4 GB Ram.
Questions :
1. If I were to install Zorin OS, I would prefer to use my VMware Player because it would be more straight forward in installing than dual boot.
Comment please.
2. By using VMware, will it affect the performance of the host OS...
