About this tag
The voice isolation tag covers updates about microphone processing during calls, with current coverage focused on WhatsApp for iOS. A recent update adds a Mic Mode shortcut inside the active call interface, allowing users to access Apple’s Voice Isolation, Wide Spectrum, Standard, and Automatic options from WhatsApp’s More menu. Previously, users generally needed to open Control Center and adjust the microphone mode through the call controls. The feature is associated with WhatsApp iOS version 26.27.74 and is being introduced through a phased rollout, so availability may vary between accounts. This tag tracks related app features and practical changes to call audio controls.
