wake device
About this tag
The 'wake device' tag on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about identifying which hardware device caused a Windows computer to wake from sleep or hibernation. Users often run the powercfg -lastwake command to view wake history, which lists a device instance path and friendly name. Common challenges include matching generic descriptions like 'USB Root Hub' to a specific physical device when multiple similar devices exist. Troubleshooting steps involve checking Device Manager, reviewing power management settings for each device, and using additional powercfg options to pinpoint the exact wake source. The tag is relevant for Windows users seeking to diagnose and control wake behavior.
This is what I'm seeing:
How can I trace down who 4&232151f9&0 is?
Under Device manager I can see (5) ROOT_HUBs so that doesn't help. All of them removed allow under power management.
Any ideas how to precisely find out which one is responsible?
Thank you in advance.
