About this tag
The warpcore cpu tag on WindowsForum.com follows Nuvacore's WarpCore project, a startup effort from former Nuvia architects whose earlier work shaped Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite chips for Windows on Arm laptops. Rather than starting with an instruction set, Nuvacore says it is designing the CPU core first and has not yet chosen between Arm, x86, or RISC-V. Coverage here is necessarily early: there is no chip, no benchmark, and no confirmed ISA, only a description of the design process. The tag is most useful for readers tracking how a new core-first approach might eventually affect Windows hardware.

Nuvacore WarpCore: Ex-Nuvia Team Builds CPU Core Before Choosing Arm, x86 or RISC-V

Most CPU projects start with the instruction set. Nuvacore says it is starting with the core. The startup comes from the same architects whose last company, Nuvia, ended up shaping Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite chips for Windows on Arm laptops.
