waste ink pad
About this tag
The waste ink pad is a component in Epson printers that absorbs excess ink during cleaning cycles. When it becomes saturated, the printer may display a general error or warning, often accompanied by orange error lights or unusual clicking noises. Users encountering this issue may need to replace or reset the waste ink pad counter. Troubleshooting steps include accessing the printer's service manual for disassembly instructions, though free manuals can be difficult to find online. The waste ink pad problem is common in models like the Epson Stylus Photo R285, especially after installing a continuous ink supply system (CIS). Proper maintenance of the waste ink pad is essential to avoid printer errors and ensure reliable operation.

My first question is where can I get a service manual for this...
