wdf01000.sys
About this tag
The wdf01000.sys file is a Windows Driver Framework component frequently implicated in Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) errors on Windows 7 and Windows 10 systems. Users report stop codes such as DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, WDF_VIOLATION, BAD_POOL_CALLER, and MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, often occurring during shutdown, sleep/wake, or after driver updates. Common triggers include Windows updates like KB2685813, driver booster tools, or outdated drivers. While wdf01000.sys appears in crash dumps, it may not be the root cause; troubleshooting steps include rolling back drivers, uninstalling problematic updates, running SFC, and checking for hardware issues. The tag covers discussions on diagnosing and resolving these BSODs across various hardware brands.
