Blame it on nostalgia or just a love of routine, but for many Windows users, opening a web link and landing anywhere but their browser of choice feels almost like being handed a decaf latte when you specifically ordered an espresso. It’s the smallest slight, but no less irksome. With the release...

While I like a great many things about Windows 11, I absolutely abhor the little pre-set placement templates that invade my space whenever I move a window close to the top of the screen. But I can't research removing them because I don't even know what they are called. I refer to these things...
This large window pops up randomly and has no title at the top. Below the search box at the top, it will list many of my apps. I want to stop it from automatically popping up.
I'm new to Windows 11. I've spent most of my time turning off automatic processes/ windows.
Hi... here's a strange question for you.
We've recently 'updated' our 3d software and some systems have run into a purely random, but VERY frustrating issue.
It's a known issue but the developers of our render software can't replicate it because it's very random.
What happens is:
When a...
Hi again,
Well, I'm really liking Windows 11, I like how if you have two windows open, and you click on the one not showing it minimizes the one on top and expands the other, instead of putting the smaller one on top of the larger one maybe Windows 10 would do that two, but it wasn't on my...

Lets say I have Firefox on the task bar, which has many sub-windows. How do I reorder and rename them?
I tried:
- stardock groupy: doesn't work and is incredibly bugged
- 7+ taskbar tweaker (set to launch at bootup, firefox doesn't run at background): same doesn't work!
Found nothing else to...
Hi, I'm running Win 10pro with Classic shell 4.3.1. I do a lot of diverse research and keep 150+ windows open in Firefox. This makes it difficult to find a particular subject in the taskbar when I have to go back and forth between them (each Firefox window tab is "titled" with the subject of...
For several weeks now, for no apparent reason, whenever I open Notepad, it shows up at the topof the screen under the task bar (I moved it to the top of the screen). That would be okay except that the top part of the Notepad window, where the X and minimize and maximize icons are, doesn't show...
Hello,
I have Windows 10 on my Dell laptop computer. Sometimes when I click on a folder to open it, it opens half size. Of course when I click on the maximize icon on the top right, the folder increases to full size. But I was wondering how I can make my folders always open to full size.
Thank you
About 2-3 months ago all of the sudden my Windows 10 started behaving very differently and I'm not sure if it is something that Microsoft forced on me after an update or I inadvertently changed something. Basically the way you switch between applications changed in that I can no longer just...

I think is a virtual desktop manager.
I can activate with the mouse left click touching the left border of my screen.
Then appear three points in the bottom of the screen.

Hi
Windows 8 question.
Just installed Line app.
When switch to app it fills up whole screen which is unwanted and makes multitasking much less efficient. I wonder which overpaid desk warmer at Microsoft made this decision? I wish to have this program behave like all the others I am used to...
I need to have my taskbar at the top of my screen but is it possible to make it so I can not drag a window behind it? Several times I have had to autohide the task bar just to get at the window to drag it back again.
Kind Regards, Paul
