windows 10 network speed
About this tag
Windows 10 network speed issues can be frustrating, especially when a PC fails to reach expected speeds despite having a fast fiber connection. In this forum thread, users discuss a case where a PC with 250/250 Mbps fiber service only achieves 127 Mbps down and 180 Mbps up, while other devices on the same network get full speed. Troubleshooting steps include bypassing switches and routers by connecting directly to the modem, disabling network adapters, and testing in Safe Mode with Networking. One user found that Safe Mode temporarily resolved the issue, suggesting a driver or software conflict. Common solutions involve updating network drivers, checking for background applications, and adjusting adapter settings like duplex mode or offloading features.
