windows 11 bug
About this tag
The Windows 11 bug tag covers a specific, confirmed incident in early 2026 where a faulty version of the Samsung Galaxy Connect application, distributed through the Microsoft Store, caused an 'Access denied' error on the C: drive for some Samsung Galaxy Book 4 and desktop systems. This bug locked users out of their system volume, blocking File Explorer and many apps. Microsoft and Samsung jointly investigated and confirmed the issue, which was linked to the Galaxy Connect app rather than routine Windows updates. The tag focuses on this real-world bug, its impact, and the vendor response, providing a clear example of how third-party software can affect Windows 11 stability.
