About this tag
The tag 'winmend' refers to the software Winmend Folder Hidden, a tool for hiding folders in Windows. Users have reported that after uninstalling the program, residual folders remain on the system, such as 'C:\Winmend~Folder~Hidden\...\...\cn\', which contain three-dot folder names that are not normally allowed in Windows. These folders are difficult to delete through standard methods, including attempts from a BootCD. The tag covers issues related to the installation, uninstallation, and removal of leftover files from Winmend Folder Hidden, particularly on Windows 7.
Some time ago I tried out the hidden folder tool Winmend Folder Hidden
free available from here:

I uninstalled it later.
Now I found out that this tool installed silently a strange empty folder in root directory of each partition:
C:\Winmend~Folder~Hidden\...\...\cn\
