About this tag
The wsl installation tag covers issues and guides related to setting up the Windows Subsystem for Linux on Windows 11 and Windows 10. Topics include troubleshooting installation errors like catastrophic failure on Enterprise builds, step-by-step installation instructions, and selecting Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Fedora, and Arch Linux for WSL. Before throwing "catastrophic failure" it pops up the attached window.
When I close the window, "catastrophic failure" is thrown in the powershell admin window.
I tried turning it on and off in windows features as described here , but that did nothing.
Thanks so much
