About this tag
The xbox entertainment tag on WindowsForum.com collects discussion of how Microsoft extends Xbox game franchises beyond consoles and PC. Coverage centers on Xbox's new XP division, announced October 8, 2026, which handles film, television, merchandise, strategic partnerships, and live experiences. The division is led by President Kayleen Walters, with the announcement written by Chief Strategy Officer Matthew Ball and a separate staff memo from Xbox CEO Asha Sharma. At launch, no specific movie, show, or theme park was attached to XP, so the tag reflects early-stage corporate and strategic news rather than reviews of finished entertainment products.
