About this tag
Xfire is a gaming communication and overlay application that appears in several Windows 7 troubleshooting discussions on WindowsForum.com. Users report issues such as Xfire requiring administrator access to install on Windows 7, causing blue screen crashes during gaming, interfering with graphics in older games like Starcraft, and displaying odd tray icon behavior after upgrading from Vista. One user also notes that Xfire can mess up graphics in Starcraft, a problem that persists across Windows XP, Vista, and 7. These threads focus on compatibility and stability problems when running Xfire on Windows 7, particularly in 64-bit versions.

I have no idea if this problem was also in beta or not, but I just installed the Zune software, then pinned it to the taskbar. The icon was working for awhile until it turned into the generic program icon. Any way to fix this?
