About this tag
Xmarks was a browser extension that synced bookmarks across different browsers and platforms, including Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer on Windows. Users on WindowsForum.com discussed using Xmarks to sync Internet Explorer favorites across multiple PCs running Windows 8.1, and as an alternative to dedicated bookmark management software like Linkman Pro. The service was well-regarded for its cross-browser and cross-platform capabilities, but it was discontinued, leading users to seek other solutions such as Google Chrome bookmarks or SkyDrive-based syncing. The tag covers discussions about bookmark synchronization, browser add-ins, and transitioning away from Xmarks after its shutdown.
