I find the CPU physics test really interesting on this. I think it can give you a couple hundred points depending on the proc. Plus the effects are neat and you really get the sense its stressing the CPU as all of this activity goes on.

I guess the coding must be quite tight to have a quad 3.8ghz PhenomII score almost identical to my older Q6600 at 3ghz on physis cpu test, even at stock 2.4 was getting just over 12fps, that said you always expect 3Dmark to be mean, it's not like modern GCSE's (far too easy to get a high pass).

However I am curious how ya got more score on the GPU when we both got the same powercolor 5870 factory overclocked editions... that said I'm probably video bottlenecked by my CPU being 1066 BUS, although when I tested it was at 1333MHZ to bump it to 3ghz, my rams native 1600mhz and mobo is 1333 native so only the cpu was only thing overclocked, probably notice more gain once get a i7 next year.

Easy.. I'd pumped the clocks on the card to 950/1250MHz. :) So your Q6600 was an incredible purchase really..

ahhh was gonna say, mines on the stock 875/1225 speed, I'd be too chicken to OC a GPU, as for the CPU situation, as always there are bound to be updates down the line that unlock CPU specific advantages... I find it hard that yours would get same sorta scores as mine, given the tweaks they did to them, if not then yea it's been a very robust little chip and served me well for 4 years.

I was just testing the new 10.12 drivers and noticed the benchmark uses "Bullet Physics Engine" wasn't that one of the mentioned GPU accelerated features AMD are adding to the next overhaul on their drivers along with Havok?

Not sure but how are you finding the 10.12's for benching? For me they seem a little slow..

[langtitle=hu]Re: 3DMark 11 Results thread[/langtitle]
