Windows 7 ad hoc networking

Looking for a solution, how to getting an ad hoc network between a windows vista home premium and a windows 7 home premium machine to work? We can easily log on to the network... But can't see each other.

Have you ensured that network discovery and sharing is enabled? The home editions of Windows have less networking options and you may have difficulty in this instance. Posting as much information as you can about your network set up will be helpful in generating a response.
