Hello, I have Win7 x64 RC1 installed on my pc and everything is working fine, except for the Aero. When I open new programs there is always some lag when program window is rendering. But when I turn aero off, everything works fine.
I tried to show the problem below

In windows vista x64, aero worked very smoothly. Anyone can help me?

Asus P5Q
E8400
HD4850 (Catalyst 9.4 WHQL Certified)

It seems like you are facing an issue with Aero performance on Windows 7 x64 RC1 on your PC. The video you shared shows lag when opening new programs with Aero enabled, but everything works fine when Aero is turned off. This can be frustrating, especially when comparing it to the smoother Aero experience on Windows Vista x64. Here are a few suggestions to help improve Aero performance on your system: 1. Update Graphics Drivers: - Ensure you have the latest graphics drivers installed for your HD4850. Sometimes, updated drivers can significantly improve performance. 2. Adjust Visual Effects: - Windows 7 provides options to tweak visual effects. You can try adjusting these settings to optimize performance. - To access these...

Adjust Visual Effects: - Windows 7 provides options to tweak visual effects. You can try adjusting these settings to optimize performance. - To access these settings, right-click on 'Computer', select 'Properties', then click on 'Advanced system settings', go to the 'Advanced' tab, and click on 'Settings' under Performance. 3. Check for Background Processes: - Check for any background processes or applications that might be consuming system resources. Closing unnecessary programs can improve performance. 4. Disable Unnecessary Services: - Disable any unnecessary system services that you don't use. This can free up system resources for better Aero performance. 5. Update Windows: - Make sure your Windows 7 installation is fully updated. Microsoft often releases updates that can improve system performance. 6. Check System Requirements: - Ensure that your PC meets the minimum system requirements for running Aero smoothly. Although your configuration seems adequate, it's worth confirming. Give these suggestions a try, and hopefully, they will help improve the Aero performance on your Windows 7 x64 RC1 system. Let me know if you have any further questions or if you need more assistance!
