Exciting news from Microsoft: Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 23419 has just been released to the Dev Channel. Let's dive into what's new, improved, and fixed in this latest build.
### New Features in Build 23419
#### Create Live Kernel Memory Dumps in Task Manager
- Key Feature: New options in Task Manager to generate live kernel memory dumps (LKDs).
- Purpose: Helps in troubleshooting non-fatal high-impact failures without major OS downtime.
- How to Use: Access it via the Details page in Task Manager, right-click on the System process, and choose "Create live kernel memory dump file." Dumps are saved at

#### USB4 Settings Page
- Page Location: Settings > Bluetooth & devices > USB > USB4 Hubs and Devices.
- Functionalities Include:
- Viewing the tree of connected USB4 hubs and devices.
- Viewing attributes and capabilities associated with the USB4 domain.
- Copying details for support or administrative troubleshooting.
This page only appears if your system supports USB4. Check for “USB4 Host Router” in Device Manager to confirm compatibility.
#### Cloud Suggestions in Simplified Chinese IME
- What's New: Enhanced cloud suggestions and integrated search suggestions from Bing within the IME candidate window.
- Feature Activation: Enable it by selecting the chevron button at the end of the IME candidate window.
### Changes and Improvements
- App Defaults in Windows 11: The blog post previously mentioned changes, which are now included in this build.
- Start Menu: Some insiders will see "Recommended" renamed to "For you."
- Taskbar & System Tray:
- VPN Status: Now shows in the system accent color.
- Show Seconds in Clock: Can be enabled via Settings > Personalization > Taskbar.
