Introduction

Microsoft has rolled out Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 23575 in the Dev Channel, featuring various improvements and fixes.

Changes and Improvements

Start Menu:
- Testing a feature that groups recently added apps on the PC into a folder under the Recommended section of the Start menu, benefitting Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel.

Fixes

- Addressed issues causing certain games to fail to launch with a 0x1 error in the last two Dev Channel flights.
- Resolved a problem that caused Copilot in Windows to disappear from the taskbar for some Windows Insiders using the Home edition of Windows 11 Insider Preview builds.
- Fixed issues in File Explorer such as a tooltip not dismissing when hovering over the first picture in Gallery, explorer.exe crashes on closing the File Explorer, and scrolling issues when opening dropdown menus.
- Rectified an issue causing Settings Home to prompt Microsoft account sign-in despite already being signed in, which led to sign-in failures.
- Corrected a problem in Task Manager where dropdowns floated up the screen when scrolled.

Known Issues

- Investigation ongoing for the behavior of Copilot in Windows using voice access, where "Show grid" commands are needed to click in the "Ask me anything" box for the first time after launching or refreshing.

About the Dev Channel

- With a recent reboot, the Dev Channel now receives 23000 series builds, catering to the long-lead work from Microsoft engineers. The channel focuses on incubating new ideas, testing concepts, and gathering feedback for potential Windows features.
- Not all features from the Dev Channel are guaranteed to be released, allowing for experimentation and potential removal or replacement of features over time. The Dev Channel offers better platform stability compared to the Canary Channel.

This build underscores Microsoft's commitment to refining Windows 11 based on user feedback and ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
