Windows 7 ATI Remote Wonder

I have an unusual situation. On a clean boot my ATI Remote Wonder works just fine, BUT alfter about 10 minutes, it stops working for some reason and without notice. It is like the transmitter just got pulled out of the USB. A reboot fixes the problem and again 10 minutes later, same thing.

Any suggestions?
