After a new windows 7 install I am having video problems. I was using successfully windows xp fine until this point. I have a geforce 9800 gt sc video card which seems to be having problems. When windows restarts my monitor is disconnecting from the pc. The monitor just flashes digital/analog. I ran safe mode and installed the drivers from the Manufacturer website but when I rebooted I get the same error. The computer does work with the on board video card. It will not load to safe mode with the geforce standalone video card but the video card does work for sure.

    Any help is appreciated

Did it boot before you installed the driver ?

If you can't boot to safe mode, that's the problem. When booting to safe mode, it doesn't load vga driver.

Did you try the 7 DVD repair option ?

Try other driver versions from nvidia archive:
