Windows 7 black screen problem

alright i have a dell inspiron 7010 6gb ram 600gb hard drive windows 7 ultimate and for a while now i have been having a problem were the screen turns black because of power saver and when i move the mouse the back light comes on but there isn't any picture

anyone have any solutions

Looks like a problem i know of since windows 98. Your laptop go's in sleep modus and simply won't wake up any more.
Try to be sure you have your power cord plugged in (and so you battery has enough power to push your hardware out of hybernate) and try to experiment with other power saving configurations (like, never turn HD to sleep modus) and see if this helps to pin-point your troubles.
