Windows 7 Blue Screen When Laptop Lid Is Closed Or When Left Idle

Can somebody please help me? I have the HP DV 2610US and recently upgraded to Windows 7. I have noticed that if i leave my computer with my lid closed for like 30-40 minutes it would shut down & restart and show an error message with Blue Screen as the error. It has also happened with the lid open while the computer wasn't being used. Does anybody know what this can be?? Please help!! Thanks!
