Windows 7 Brand New Computer, Windows 7, FSX Crashes

Just bought a brand new HP desktop from Best Buy yesterday in part to be able to play Microsoft Flight Simulator X on it. The computer came pre-loaded with Windows 7. I loaded up FSX with no problems, and it seems to work pretty well until it just randomly crashes. It has crashed maybe 6-7 times in three hours of play.

It crashes most often when I am fiddling with different views (opening up new ones or re-sizing existing one). Here is the computer I bought:

AMD Phenom II X4 2.6 ghz
ATI Radeon 4200 - 256 gb Video card
750 GB Sata Hard Drive

I haven't run any updates such as SP1 or SP2. Maybe this will fix the problem? I've also considered upgrading to a 1GB video card, but I"m not sure this will help.

Even just SP1 fixes many issues with the game....after just installing that my framerates tripled.

I am having the same issues, I have installed SP1 but not SP2... Any tricks speeding up the game?
