BSoD bccode 7a

Hi all!

Couple weeks ago my windows started to freeze @ start up. It boots correctly, and then it "kinda" freezes... Toolbar jams but desktop and mouse is working, tho none of programs are starting (ie Chrome).

So now I came back from holidays and began to watch movie... I fall asleep and when I woke up my TV was all BSOD and I crap myself...

I saw some lagging while watching the movie.

Here is the codes Windows gave:

BCCode: 7a
BCP1: FFFFF6FC00005E60
BCP3: 000000000C105820
BCP4: FFFFF80000BCC000
OS Version: 6_1_7601
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 256_1

Hi jonnee and Welcome to The Forum.

Usual causes:
Memory, Paging file corruption, File system, Hard drive, Cabling, Virus infection, Improperly seated cards, BIOS, Bad motherboard, Missing Service Pack.

Your latest dump file lists ntkrnlmp.exe as the probable cause. This is a Windows System file and for it to be the cause of your crash is highly unlikely.
Old and incompatible drivers can and do cause issues with Windows 7, often giving false error codes. Random stop codes can often indicate hardware issues.

Have you set your ram to run at 533mhz as opposed to 667mhz for a specific reason? Or are the timings set to auto?

Drivers with Updates:

atikmdag.sys Sun Aug 29 02:53:08 2010 AMD Graphics Drivers

RTKVHD64.sys Thu Feb 24 10:19:18 2011 Realtek HD Audio R2.67

k57nd60a.sys Tue Jun 08 12:40:13 2010 Broadcom Ethernet NIC.

Let us know how it goes. If you get further problems with blue screens, attach your new dump files and details and we'll move on from there.

I checked out the BIOS for RAM Settings, but noticed that after bios update I can't conf anything but booting order from bios. Death end..

Updated drivers and well didn't see atleast @ reboot the 'jamming' at start up... I'll let you know if it happens after several boots.

I also used Defraggler and CCleaner earlier befre BSOD (like week earlier).

What else could be causing this lagging @ start up AFTER all the programs has started correctly? Cause when I keep clicking on toolbar it sometimes gives error referring to RAM error. Didn't pay attention to that earlier, I'll try to get error message of it here!

I was thinking along the lines of:

Watching video and your graphics drivers were very outdated.
I checked out the BIOS for RAM Settings, but noticed that after bios update I can't conf anything but booting order from bios. Death end..

Updated drivers and well didn't see atleast @ reboot the 'jamming' at start up... I'll let you know if it happens after several boots.
Hmm. Not sure why your bios settings are "unavailable". Perhaps someone else can help out here?
I also used Defraggler and CCleaner earlier befre BSOD (like week earlier).
A couple of the safer clean up tools to use, although you should always use some care with any clean up program that you use in your registry. With CCleaner always have it set to back-up the registry keys before removal, although any back-up more than a couple of days old is pretty useless.

What else could be causing this lagging @ start up AFTER all the programs has started correctly? Cause when I keep clicking on toolbar it sometimes gives error referring to RAM error. Didn't pay attention to that earlier, I'll try to get error message of it here!
I'd suggest running Memtest. If your ram timings etc. are still as in the CPU-Z shots it should give an accurate result.

Run Memtest86+ overnight, after your computer has been off for about an hour or two so it has a cold start. Ideally let it run for at least 7 passes / 6-8 hours. If errors appear before that you can stop that particular test.
Note!! Any time Memtest86+ reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad Mobo slot. Test RAM sticks individually. When you find a good one then test it in all slots. Post back with the results.

Also curious as to your Hosts file. Particularly the entry highlighted. I've now spotted this in two different Hosts files today.
# Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
# For example:
# # source server
# # x client host

# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# localhost
#    ::1             localhost

Problem on checking my ram sticks is that I have laptop. But I will still run Memtest, just in case.

I have absolutely no idea of that... Never at least typed that into Host file...

And to the CCleaner, I always backup BEFORE I run cleaner. :) Once CCleaner erased some very important registry data and had to do clean install :(

Can you pass on full make and model of your laptop? Sadly a lot of manufacturers lock you out of the bios settings as "they know what is good for you". Don't believe it myself!!

And yes, Give Memtest a run.

Oh, and if you are unaware of why that entry is in your hosts, then put a hash '#' before it to 'disable'. See if that makes any difference. Your Hosts may be read only, you'll most likely need to take ownership, and select to open with Notepad, but un-check the "always open with..." option. You'll find your Hosts file in: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc You probably know that stuff, but just in case....

Yeah hashed it out already after you mentioned of it. Nothing so far...

After several times of trying I gave up... Couldn't get Memtest up and running... It starts, and loads data, and then reboots computer... I gave it 5 minutes but it didn't start up.

Cause of Manufacturers BIOS or what, I don't know...

I take it you've put Memtest on a CD and made the first boot option to be your CD driver?

Ran out of CD's so boot from USB-stick... Used the one that memtest offical site has.
