The error code on blue screen when it first comes up is IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Basic info about PC: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, Dell Inspiron 545S, Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E7500 @2.93 Ghz, Installed Memory 6 GB

Can boot in Safe mode only. Gets to desktop and afetr about 30 seconds, shuts down. A few times it just goes black and reboots and by passes blue screen.

I have attached dump files and a few screen shots. I received an error message (screenshot included) of what I received when I ran CPUZ- it only populated the first tab, the others were not filled in with any data?

I also tried to run RAMMon but received an error message which I have included as well.
Thank you so much for trying to help- this is Frustrating as heck!!!

Solution
This Norton link works for me: http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080710133834EN
If it doesn't work for you, I'd have to suspect an infection.
In that case, run several of the free scans here (in case your Norton is corrupted): Link Removed - Invalid URL

You can't do the firewall thing until AFTER you've un-installed Norton. Norton is controlling your firewall now - and once it's removed you'll (most likely) be able to change it.

To update adfs.sys - install the latest version of Adobe Reader: http//www.adobe.com/downloads

In most cases the exclamation point by the Security Processor Loader will go away once all the other problems are solved. If it doesn't, post back for further...
Are you saying that it reboots/shutsdown in Safe Mode also?
I ask because a properly functioning Safe Mode is a sign that normal mode problems are due to 3rd party programs/drivers
A malfunctioning Safe Mode is a sign of either a hardware or Windows problem.

This device is having issues:
Security Processor Loader Driver ROOT\LEGACY_SPLDR\0000 This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed.
This is usually a sign of either a malware infection - or damage left over after malware is removed. Please run a couple of these free scans to ensure that your system is clean: Link Removed - Invalid URL

There's a lot of Norton 360 drivers in the memory dumps. While this is not a sure sign of anything, it's possible that you're having issues with your Norton 360. Please do this:
Anti-Virus Removal:
Please do the following:
- download a free anti-virus for testing purposes: Link Removed - Invalid URL
- un-install the Norton from your system (you can reinstall it, if so desired, when we're done troubleshooting)
- remove any remnants of Norton using this free tool: http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080710133834EN
- IMMEDIATELY install and update the free anti-virus, then check to ensure that the Windows Firewall is turned on.
- check to see if this fixes the BSOD's
NOTE: NEVER run more than 1 anti-virus, firewall, Internet Security/Security Center application at the same time.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Thanks so much! No, it does not shutdown / reboot in Safe Mode. I will try these steps when I get home later today. One question- you say:

"IMMEDIATELY install and update the free anti-virus, then check to ensure that the Windows Firewall is turned on.
- check to see if this fixes the BSOD's
Do I go to Control Panel, System and Security?- Then what?

Thanks again! I will post results after I run your steps

This is usually a sign of either a malware infection - or damage left over after malware is removed. Please run a couple of these free scans to ensure that your system is clean: Link Removed - Invalid URL

There's a lot of Norton 360 drivers in the memory dumps. While this is not a sure sign of anything, it's possible that you're having issues with your Norton 360. Please do this:

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Go to Start
Type in "firewall.cpl" (without the quotes)
When firewall.cpl appears at the top of the search box, press the "ENTER" key

Alternatively:
- press the "Windows" key and the "R" key simultaneously to open the Run dialog
- type in "firewall.cpl" (without the quotes)
- press the "OK" button to run the command

When i go to "Turn Windows Firewall on or off" it takes me to: "Update your firewall settings. Windows firewall is not using the recommended settings." Thereis bar to the right of that that says "Use recommended settings", but when i click on it i get: "Windows Firewall can't change soem of your settings, error code 0X80070424" ???

There isn't a place that just says turn off or on?

Not going good. Have no idea where to find adfs.sys driver update. Not sure what specific IDE Storage driver I need from Intel? I believe I updated the Graphic Ones- well, one was a zip file which I need to unzip. On a side note, I jave a yellow exclamation point next to "Security Processor Loader Driver"

If it doesn't, post back for further suggestions

Most important is scanning with other scanners to ensure that all malware is off your system (I suspect that the malware has taken over your Norton - that's why I suggest other scans). Without doing that, the rest of the stuff won't do much at all.

We'll fix the rest of the drivers if the system continues to BSOD after removing the malware.

Solution
Thanks so much for your patience- here is where I am at 1) I was able to connect to the Norton link and I removed all Norton from PC. 2) went to Windows Firewall and still had same issue as noted above- no on-off, and same error when I click on "recommended settings" 3) Went to Adobe Dowloads and went to download latest Reader and it said I already have latest version 4) Ran ESET anit-virus (u didn't say it would take an hour and a half :) haha.. found 64 issues and fixed em all- tried Windows Firewall after that, but still same issue 5) after all this, still I have a yellow exclamation point next to "Security Processor Loader Driver"

6) Reminder- I still have no clue as to what exact Intel Drivers I need (and how to get them) for:

intelide.sys Mon Jul 13 19:19:48 2009 (4A5BC114)
Intel IDE storage driver
Link Removed - Invalid URL

I went to Intel again and tried to dowload their Intel Driver Update Utility" and I get the same error: "Failed to download due to web compatibility, firewall or installation issue"?

Obviously, all this is being done in "Safe Mode With Networking".. I haven't tried to restart yet. But I assume I will get BSOD? I guess I will restart and post what happens. Thanks again

P.S- I have dowloaded several programs through this whole process- Avast free anti virus, Malwarebytes, CPZ-U, RAMMon, to name a few and these arestill loaded.

Heading out for the day, will check back later and hope to end this! :)So cool how you are taking your time to help!

UPDATE: tried to restart and it rebooted- lately I have not been getting BSOD- it just goes right to a reboot and it comes up to the screen with Safe Node options. The last 8or so times I have restarted, this has been the case..

Sounds like it's a virus issue.

I'd either post over in the Security area: Link Removed due to 404 Error
Or I'd wipe and reinstall Windows (instructions here: Link Removed - Invalid URL ) - it's your call.
