    hey guys
i started having these weird BSODs just popping on my face whenever i do anything normal, like when i open the lid on my laptop, or when i connect a portable hard drive or even a mouse, and sometimes when i wake my computer from hibernation. I don't think i did install anything new related to drivers.
the dumbs indicate it is coming from two processes, not just one. i have attached everything in the attachments.
    Appreciate the help

    Hello and welcome.

    1) The crashes are caused by your old version of jfltr.sys.

    Code:
Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.

    BugCheck D1, {80000003, 2, 1, 913c002f}

*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for jfltr.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for jfltr.sys
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for SynTP.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for SynTP.sys

Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers and delete it then reboot.

And the same for the wireless adapter driver:

    netw5v32 netw5v32.sys Thu Mar 26 12:10:37 2009

    ---------

Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers and delete this then reboot:

    PQNTDrv PQNTDrv.SYS Mon Sep 16 19:14:30 2002

    ----------

sorry for the late reply, my net connection got cut off
i did everything you said, and no use
but one good thing, the problem used to happen when i stop using the computer for a while (or when i reopen the lid or come back from hibernation) and then come back and use either my usb mouse or the touchpad. now this only happens when i use the touchpad, not the usb mouse too and this is how it happens: i try to use the touchpad but the cursor won't move for like 1.5 seconds and then a blue screen.
here are all the dumps since i fully updated my drivers(the attachment)
P.S: i tried to system restore my system to a a time where i didn't have this problem, i still no use, i also tried to delete Jfilr.sys and right after i restarted my system, the cursor won't move neither with the touchpad nor with the usb mouse, i had to use the keyboard to do a system restore to unfreeze my cursor, i am guessing the main problem is only with jfilr.sys

You forgot the attachment...but yes, definitely the jfltr.sys is a problem. I can't even find anything on it at Google so it could even be malware. Until my next reply after you post the attachment, you should run Malwarebytes after updating definitions to scan the machine and let it remove anything it finds.

here is the attachment and i ran malwarebytes and microsoft security essentials and will run spyware S&D and SUPERantivirus.
and i doubt that it is a malware problem because the BSOD error is DRIVER_IRQL_LESS_OR_EQUAL

    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.
    Arguments:
    Arg1: 00000010, memory referenced
    Arg2: 00000002, IRQL
    Arg3: 00000000, bitfield :
    	bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)
Arg4: 82cc40e9, address which referenced memory

Honestly, this is a great example of why I'm considering not doing this any longer. I make my posts simple and easy to understand, as well as simple to complete, purposely.

And more often than not, they are blatantly not followed and I have to keep repeating myself while users are complaining, "But it's still crashing." It's simply not really enjoyable to me at times:

then allow me to repeat myself again
i did delete jfltr.sys, but when i restarted the computer the mouse(touchpad and usb) was frozen and i had to make a system restore with the keyboard to get my mouse to work again
i did update the synaptics touchpad, ATI driver, chipset, and everything else through Driver Genius 2010(except for the touchpad and ATI driver, i had to make those manually)
i did scan my computer using malwareBytes
please if you want to help me, then read my replies, don't just scroll right over them.

    Again, you haven't followed instructions:

I'm surprised the machine boots at all after using Driver Genius.

If you want my help to apply, please don't just disregard it.

You are proving my exact point from my last post. Unbelievable. Don't put your inability to follow directions off on us.

again, i told you i updated those drivers THROUGH driver genius, the program doesn't do anything bad, it basically just has an updated list of drivers and it UPDATES my drivers accordingly, it did update everyone but the bad news is that my laptop is a TOSHIBA Satellite A100 running a win7 x32, that means it is very old and toshiba just didn't update their drivers to support win7 on old laptops. what you are seeing is the ONLY new updates i found for this laptop. the only REALLY new drivers i could download were the ATI driver(i installed CCC) and the synaptics touchpad(version 14). i followed your direction POINT BY POINT.
i am honestly not disregarding your help but this is my third reply repeating the same sentence : I DID UPDATE THE DRIVERS.
i have been using this laptop for about two years with no problems whatsoever, and then out of no where, without installing any recent software or making any hardware changes, this problem just surfaced.

You are in no position to tell me what software does and does not do. I'm a literal expert on all drivers and any software I would ever comment on. Yes, it is bad. It very often given inappropriate drivers rendering machines unbootable. They also do not have the proper and latest updates that you need, as manufacturers' sites have.

Suggest to delete that file I keep telling you to delete. Reboot and use the keyboard to install the Synaptics driver from their website again, if it is needed at this point.

I would also search the registry for that driver's name and delete all mentions of it.

easy, easy. i just heard from many people that it is a good program, anyways, driver genius didn't pickup the synaptics driver in the first place, so i had to delete the Jfltr.sys, delete the synaptics driver, reboot , use the keyboard to install the new synaptics driver version 14 from the manufacturer's site, not from driver genius, like i said before
i did the same thing with ATI video driver.
the other drivers(chipset, wireless and modem drivers), those i did install from driver genius because i couldn't find anything from their manufacturer's sites about win7 versions of those drivers(believe me, i looked a lot). driver genius was a last resort, not the first one.
P.S: this problem doesn't happen when i boot, by the way, it happens when i leave the touchpad for a long time untouched.

Ya, no problem....I am goin' easy...You can interpret me like a doctor kind of sort of. Like strict warning not to eat fatty foods or something like that lol....that's how I am, and it is not to be rude really.

    Anyhow, here's what to try.

Have the latest Synaptics driver ready to install, on the hard drive. Boot to safe mode. Delete Jfltr.sys if it is still there. Then open the registry and search for "jfltr" and delete every entry found. Then install the Synaptics driver and when done, boot to normal mode and check that jfltr.sys is still gone.

If it is not, let me know, we will have something else to do that will fix it.

    that didn't work.
i started digging up some more stuff about this "jfltr.sys". it turns out it belonged to a small utility called "Mouse Joystick" that basically made the mouse identifiable as a joystick in games so the user can play games with the mouse. Long story short, i didn't know that it was even installed, maybe it was installed with a game i got or something, i just deleted it and everything was dandy again.....
anyway, Thanks very much Torrent, really appreciate the help and hope that you won't quit this business, The IT scene needs people like you.

    Nah, I'll be around....

Honestly, it was slightly frustrating but that's only because I wasn't having such a great day lol. Apologies and glad to hear of the success and enjoy! :)
