It seems like you're encountering frequent crashes and even a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) while playing Battlefield 3 (BF3) on your Windows 7 x64 system. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve these issues:

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Update Graphics Drivers:
    • Ensure that your NVIDIA GTX 570 graphics card drivers are up to date. Outdated or corrupt graphics drivers can often cause crashes.
    • Visit the NVIDIA website to download and install the latest drivers for your GPU.
    []Check System Temperature:
    • Verify that your system is not overheating during gameplay. Use monitoring tools like HWMonitor to check CPU and GPU temperatures.

    []Check System Temperature:
    • Verify that your system is not overheating during gameplay. Use monitoring tools like HWMonitor to check CPU and GPU temperatures.
    • Ensure that your system is adequately cooled, and there's no dust buildup in fans or heat sinks.
    [
    ]Check for Windows Updates:
    • Make sure that your Windows 7 operating system is fully updated. Some updates contain fixes for stability and performance issues.
    []BSOD Error Analysis:
    • If you are getting a specific BSOD error, note down the error message. This can help pinpoint the cause of the crash.
    • You can analyze the BSOD dump files using tools like BlueScreenView to identify the problematic driver or hardware component.
    [
]Run System File Checker (SFC) Scan:
    • Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the command sfc /scannow. This will scan and repair any corrupted system files.
    []Check for Memory Issues:
    • Since you've run Memtest, it's good to confirm that your RAM is functioning correctly. Try reseating the RAM sticks or testing them individually to identify any faulty modules.
    [
    ]Disable or Update Overclocks:
    • If you have overclocked your CPU or GPU, revert to default settings and check if the crashes persist. Overclocks can sometimes lead to instability.
    []Power Supply Unit (PSU):
    • Inadequate power supply can also cause system instability. Ensure that your PSU is providing sufficient power to all components.
    [
    ]Clean Boot:
    • Perform a clean boot to eliminate software conflicts. This involves starting Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs.
  2. Check Event Viewer:
    • Look into the Event Viewer for any error messages or warnings around the times of the crashes. This can provide additional insights into the cause of the crashes.
