It sounds like you're dealing with a pesky Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) issue on your Windows 7 laptop. The error code you mentioned, "KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR" with the code 0x0000007A, often indicates a problem with the storage device, such as your hard drive. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve this issue:

Steps to Fix KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR (0x0000007A) BSOD:

  1. Check Hard Drive Health:
    • Since you've already run chkdsk and it reported the hard disk as clean, you can consider running a more detailed disk diagnostic tool such as HD Tune or CrystalDiskInfo to check the overall health of your hard drive.

    []Update Drivers:
    • Outdated or faulty drivers can cause this error. Make sure your graphics card driver (NVIDIA GeForce G105M) and other essential drivers are up to date.
    [
    ]Check for Windows Updates:
    • Ensure that your Windows 7 system is up to date by installing all available Windows updates. Some updates patch known BSOD issues.
    []Verify Disk Space:
    • Ensure you have enough free space on your hard drive. Running low on disk space can sometimes lead to system errors.
    [
    ]Check for Malware:
    • Since you mentioned downloading torrents, it's essential to scan your system thoroughly for malware using a reputable antivirus program.
    []Use System File Checker (SFC):
    • Run the System File Checker tool to scan for and repair corrupted system files that could be causing the BSOD.
      • Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run: sfc /scannow
    [
    ]Check for Memory Issues:
    • Kernel data errors can also be caused by faulty RAM modules. Run a memory diagnostic test using Windows Memory Diagnostic tool.
  2. Review System Logs:
    • Check the Windows Event Viewer for any recent critical events that might provide additional clues about the BSOD.

      Hardware Specifications:

      • Operating System: Windows 7 (64-bit)
      • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T6600
      • RAM: 4GB
      • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce G105M
It's crucial to implement these steps systematically to diagnose and resolve the KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR BSOD. Feel free to provide updates on your progress or ask if you need further assistance!
