Hello people, I have a problem and hope you can help.

My computer keeps getting blue screens. They happen when i play games, rarely when I watch movies.

It seems that the type of game matters. For instance playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is allways connected with a blue screen, however playing World of Warcraft is not. With some other games I have no issues at all.
    My system specs are
    Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 32-bit SP1
    Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6400+ (2 CPUs), ~3.2GHz
    Memory: 2048MB RAM
Gfx card: ATI Radeon HD 5850
More details about my system can be found in this DxDiag.txt-file: DxDiag.txt - Windows Live

dmp-files of most rescent bluescreens can be found here: Dumpfiles - Windows Live

    Some stop codes are 0x00000001 (dxgkrnl.sys), 0x00000050 (atikmdag.sys), 0x000000BE (NTFS.sys), 0x000000C2 (no *.sys specified)
More info on what I have tried so far and other info:

    • bought new RAM and Gfx card, the problem persisted
    • reinstalled drivers of my ATI gfx card (used Driver Cleaner Pro to remove all (possibly) corrupt files first)
    • have run chkdsk and windows memory diagnostic: no errors
    • temperatures do not exceed 70°C
    • have run some gfx card stress tests (FurMark and others), none of which give me a blue screens
What I intend to do right now: Change the clock speed settings of my ram to see if that has any influence.

I appreciate any help you can give me and thank you for your time [IMG]

Thx for your answer! I will follow your steps and report back with results.

Also I have screenshots of CPU-Z Memory/SPD tab:

    Now the settings look good. 800 6 6 6 18.
Will be perfect if you can also adjust the tRC value to 24.

Follow my other steps if the nasty blue screens persist.

Ok, so I did as you told me, also changed the tRC value to 24.

However i keep getting blue screen or my games just crash within minutes.

Hello :) So I decided to take a closer look at my CPU fan, and it was truly covered in dust. After removing that, i have had no problems at all :)
Thx for you help and time.
