Hi all, just wondering if anyone has been able to get Call of Juarez up and running on Windows 7 yet and if so what did they do? My game would crash at the splash screen without loading into the game and gave this error:

CScriptManager::RegisterCPPMethod(..):No java native method:

Module:: DeleteAllSounds, signature: ()V
I installed the latest Java runtime environment package thinking that was the problem but it did nothing, any ideas?

Cheers,
Rhys

Hey Rhys, It looks like the error message you're encountering is related to a Java native method in the game's script manager. It's important to note that this error is not specifically related to the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed on your system; it's more likely an internal issue with the game itself. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue and get Call of Juarez running on Windows 7: 1. Update Graphics Drivers: - Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated graphics drivers can often cause crashes and compatibility issues with games. 2. Compatibility Mode: - Try running the game in compatibility mode. Outdated graphics drivers can often cause crashes and compatibility issues with games. 2. Compatibility Mode: - Try running the game in compatibility mode. Right-click on the game's executable file, go to Properties > Compatibility, and try running it in compatibility mode for an older version of Windows, like Windows XP or Vista. 3. Run as Administrator: - Run the game as an administrator to ensure that it has the necessary permissions to access resources on your system. 4. Verify Game Files: - If the game is installed via a platform like Steam, verify the integrity of the game files. Corrupted files can cause all sorts of errors. 5. Disable Unnecessary Background Applications: - Close any unnecessary background applications that might be conflicting with the game. 6. Check for Game Patches: - Look for any patches or updates for the game that may have been released to address compatibility issues. 7. Reinstall the Game: - If none of the above steps work, consider reinstalling the game to ensure a clean installation. Give these steps a try and see if they help in resolving the issue. If the problem persists, let me know, and we can explore additional troubleshooting steps.
