Windows Vista Can I install the proper version yet?

My "proper" version of Windows 7 Home arrived in the post today, presumably to beat the threatened UK postal strike. If I try to install it before Thursday is it likely to be successful, or must I wait until the official release date?

You got yours today? Hmm....Hope mine comes tomorrow then (mind you londons post is a real mess).. As for your question, you could always install it and then activate it after or on Thursday...

Will it still install and work properly without being actvated then?

Sure... You have 30days to activate (which can be extended to 120)... You could probably activate it now as you could have got it from MSDN...
