I have this printer since 1995, and it still works well! (I had, though, to take it apart and clean it a few times.) It runs with WinXP and Linux, but I have not yet been able to install any of the drivers I could find in Win7.

Of course, I use a parallel port adapter that works well with XP and Linux installed in other partitions on the same hard disk.

Does anyone have a helpful suggestion?

If Canon or MS does not have drivers I think you are out of luck. I had to get a newer printer and scanner when I went to WIN7.

    Hello Allesok
I was wondering if you have been able to resolve this issue? Like you I really want to keep this printer. I was able to get it to work just fine with Win XP but not with WIN & I am wondering if the issue is the 64 bit nature of the OS. Did you try the download suggested by Titanic.
Sure hope someone success they can share.
    Thanks
