Canon mp navigator not working with my asus 1005ha netbook

I have a ASUS 1005HA netbook.
I have Window 7 Starter (32 bit)
I brought a PIXMA MX860.

Everytime I try to scan...a message came up saying that Canon MP Navigator is not working.

I called Canon tech support and he instructed me to to unistall and reinstall Navigator. That didn't work.
I google the problem and this came up:

I don't have a My Web site on my Profile. I called Microsoft and they didn't really help.

Please help me
